PRIMARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM

The curriculum for the Primary Block is essentially based on the concept and requirements of early childhood education. It forms it’s bar upon a systematic approach on the social, emotional and educational implications of ECE. Owing to the fact that a child’s affinity to learn and grasp is optimum when he/she is subjected to the hands-on approach of learning, the lessons are designed in compliance to learners’ ability and readiness, coordinated perfectly with the predefined outcomes.

To make the journey meaningful and systematic the curriculum of Pre Primary and Primary classes follows a thematic learning programme. Therein, every month children are exposed to a different theme. Many areas of the curriculum are connected and integrated together. The curriculum emphasise on basic education and covers subjects such as English, Hindi, Mathematics and EVS focusing on concept building and skill development. Knowledge of Computers and performing arts like Dance, Art, Music is also given wherein students explore and nurture their interest and talent at an early stage. A regular library period is a part of the Time Table where students find an opportunity to hone their reading skills by reading for pleasure.

There is no formal examination system and the students are assessed on the basis of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation System i.e CCE. Worksheets, activities, projects, presentations, informal assignments and competitions (only class III) are administered on regular basis. The record of these evaluations is systematically kept and is used for making report cards.
